Two finishes, one clean process
We remove the popcorn texture and give you a choice of finish. A knockdown texture is sprayed on, knocked down with drywall knives and sanded. A Level 5 smooth ceiling is rolled with drywall mud, smoothed and sanded for a flat, modern look. Either way, the ceiling is primed and painted when we are done.

Knockdown is a light texture sprayed on and flattened with drywall knives. Level 5 is a fully smooth finish, where the whole ceiling is skim coated with drywall mud and sanded flat.
Does the room need to be empty?
Yes. The room needs to be fully vacant before we start, and we seal the floors and walls with plastic sheeting.
Is it messy?
It is a dusty job, which is why we seal the room off. Some fine dust can still settle around the house, so a cleaning crew afterwards is a good idea.
Is joint repair included?
We inspect the joints once the texture is off. Re-mudding and sanding damaged joints is an additional cost, and we tell you before doing it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the room and the finish. Level 5 ceilings take longer because the mud needs time to dry, roughly 8 hours per 1,000 square feet.
