Late spring through early fall, on dry days with mild temperatures, so the stain can soak in and dry properly.
How often should a deck be restained?
It depends on sun exposure, foot traffic and the stain used. When the wood looks dry or gray, or water stops beading on it, it is time.
Do you stain fences too?
Yes. Privacy fences and split rail fences, along with pergolas, lattice and other outdoor wood.
